When you attend college, you know there’s going to be a lot of parties and if you plan on throwing a party sooner or later, you may want to have a particular theme so that everyone can show up and show their support. Below are a few ideas that you can use when you’re thinking about throwing your own party.
Throw a decade theme
One of the most popular parties that you may come across is a decade theme. Here, you can pick out a particular year and have people dress like they are from that era. If you want to choose the 70s, you can throw a disco and make it so all of your partiers wear 70s gear. Remember, this can go on for just about any decade.
A graffiti party
This party is one of my favorites when it comes to a party. Everyone that attends the party will have to wear a white shirt. When you throw the party, make sure you supply the room with markers or anything you can put on anyone else’s shirt. Use the markers and write on everyone’s shirt.
The anything but clothes (ABC) party
The ABC party is a unique one but many college kids love this one because it involves a lot of creativity. With this one, you’re going to have to show up at the party with something but you can’t wear clothes. You can use things like boxes, duct tape or anything. It’s important that you use your imagination!
Any type of group party
Think of all the groups out there. You can think of gangsters, white trash, rich people, poor people. If you think long enough, there are thousands of ideas that could pile into your head. If you want to have a rich person party, have people dress up like they are rich, offer “fake” rich food dishes and more. The ideas are endless with this one.
A plain old costume party
Who said it has to be Halloween when it comes down to dressing up? The thing I like about this one is that you dress up as a celebrity or a popular figure and have people guess who you are. You can play the part the whole night. Be someone annoying and you may find yourself at the curb.
The ideas are endless when it comes to party themes. If you plan on throwing a party, a party isn’t complete without a theme. Try some of these ideas above and see what you can come up with.
