It seems like we are trying to take better care of our environment now more than ever.  We are trying to recycle more, are becoming more conscious about polluting, and are finding creative ways to save the Earth from danger.  We can all play our part in finding a way to help the environment, even us college students.  If you’re looking for ways to help out, there are several.  Not sure what you can do?  Continue reading below to find out!

• Try to carpool to school whenever you can.  This means one less car on the road, less pollution, and less fuel being used.
• Re-use textbooks whenever you can!  Millions of trees are cut down each year for things like textbooks.  Use your friends, buy old ones, and sell them to others to reuse when you’re done.
• The next you have an old piece of paper from class, reuse it and use the backside of it.  It will save a sheet of paper, and will make that piece twice as useful!
• Recycle all cans, bottles, paper, and cardboard!
• Ride your bike whenever you can.
• The next time you do your laundry, wash with cold water instead of warm.
• Take your college lecture notes on your laptop to avoid using paper.
• Check out the new Kindle if you love to read books.  This means no paper being used to make them, and cheaper prices!
• Conserve energy if you can by turning off lights, computers, and appliances when not using them.

There are several things you can do to do your part for helping out the environment.  Many people say, “I’m only one person, i won’t make a difference”.  Yet, they don’t realize that if everyone said that, no one would do their part and help out.  Do what you can, become creative, and really try to help your environment!  In the mean time, try these ways to recycle, and save our planet.
