Bedroom Essentials for your Dorm Room
posted by FindCollegeCards.comThis is part 5 of 6 on the dorm room essentials
Your dorm room is basically one big bedroom. You’re going to have the pre-made, uncomfortable beds, and not much space that you’re going to have to share with you, and your roommates.
There’s going to be a lot of things that you’re going to forget about, when it comes down to bringing things for your bedroom. Today, let’s take a look at what you should bring to your dorm, when it comes down to everything bedroom related.
- Bedsheets – Get something comfortable, and don’t be too cheap. You’re going to be sleeping in them each night, and you don’t want to be uncomfortable.
- Blankets – This is great for when you don’t want to go under the sheets.
- Cleaning supplies – Bring your basics such as a duster, broom, and dust pan.
- Clothes Hangers
- Mattress pad – Trust me, the beds are uncomfortable, and you will want something that makes it better for you.
- Night Light
- Rug – If your dorm has hardwood floors, consider this to protect them.
- Storage – Containers are great, because you want to be organized. You won’t have a lot of closet space.
Now, there are other optional things that you can bring as well. Items such as curtains, and posters can liven up your room, but you will find out that you don’t really need them. If you don’t mind staring at boring walls, then I would save your money, and not go out, and purchase them.
When you attend college, the last thing on your mind should be, “how good my dorm looks.” Instead, try, and save up your money, and get the bare necessities. Save up your money, so that you can pay off your student loans in the future.
