Bank Offers for College Students
posted by FindCollegeCards.comAs a college student it’s always nice to have a checking and/or savings account but did you know that some banks will pay you money to sign up for a checking account? It does sound too good to be true but banks will do just about anything to get your business.
Once you turn 18, it’s probably best to start opening savings and checking accounts. With a savings account, especially money market account, you’ll be able to make money on your money. Why have your money sitting in your wallet collecting nothing when it can be collecting interest? Checking and savings accounts also increase your chances or getting approved for a credit card. It shows that you have responsibility and a place to store your money. Without either one of these, crediotrs may assume you have no money at all.
As of September 2008, here are some bank’s that are nationwide that are offering bonuses to college students and everyone else for that matter:
- Get up to $100 with Sovereign Bank’s checking accounts
- Get a $100 bonus with Citi Bank’s checking account
- Get $25 with ING Direct Savings
These are just a few of the bank deals I found online. ING Direct is personally one of my favorites becasue of the high interest rates and easy to use interface. Bank bonuses are everywhere everyday. Keep your eyes peeled when you’re looking to open a checking and/or savings account.
