Once we graduate high school, and we’re getting ready for college it is a big step!  We’re not sure what to expect, we wonder if it will be similar to high school, etc.  To make you feel a little more comfortable, we want to make sure you’re prepared.  College isn’t as bad as people make it out to be, actually, people say it’s even better than high school.  Continue reading below to find out what advice you can take before your first day as a college freshman!

Supplies - First of all, if you don’t have the basic school supplies, you may want to stop by your local store to pick some up.  For now you will need pens, pencils, notebooks, etc.   Pick up the basic items, and wait until after the first day to see what other supplies your professors recommend.

Classes - When you schedule your classes, you want to make sure you’re happy with the times, and the days you’re going.  This well help you continue going to school, and not get lazy and skip.  So, find the perfect schedule, and remember to not take too many classes.  We like to get done early, but sometimes all the stress isn’t worth it.

Job – It is also recommended that you get or continue with your part-time job.  This will help you bring in some extra money each week, and will allow you to afford and save a whole lot more.

Books – When you’re searching for the books you need, it is highly recommended that you get them off of Amazon.  The prices are much cheaper than your bookstore.  Also, they have almost every book you may be looking for!

First day – The first day of class is something we worry about.  We’re worried about not being able to find it, that we’re going to be late, etc.  So, make sure you check out where your classes are the before the first day, and that you set two alarm clocks to make sure you get there on time.  The first day of college is important, and is definitely one of the most important days.  You will find out what the class will be like, what you need, etc.

The freshman year of college can be a little scary, but really it’s way better than high school.  It is convenient, doesn’t make you go every single day, and is something that will go by much faster than high school.  So, if you’re looking to be prepared for your first day or school, and your whole freshman year, consider a few of these tips!
