As a college student, we all know that finding things that are expensive for a cheap price is fairly rare, but if you know where to search, it’s going to increase your chances.  Since you’re going to need a laptop for college, in order to make college a lot easier, I wanted to show you a few places that you should check out if you’re looking for cheap laptops for sale.

Amazon: A lot of people skip over Amazon, but they work with hundreds of merchants online that offer low, low prices.  The cool thing about Amazon is that you can search for a particular brand that you want, and you can search their marketplace.  Within the marketplace, you can find very cheap laptops that people are offering, kind of like eBay.  By doing this, you can easily save 55-70%.

eBay: Everyone knows this household name, but you can get some really good deals on this site.  When you’re looking for a laptop, make sure that you’re buying from a reputable seller, and always make sure that you read the description thoroughly.  You don’t want to purchase the laptop, and find out that it’s not working down the road.

NewEgg: NewEgg, one of the Internet’s leading retailer when it comes to electronics will have a “notebook of the day”, or “notebook of the week.”  Check out what they have for the day, because I’ve found times, where I could save over $400 on a very nice laptop.  They have just about every brand imaginable, and you can land yourself a cheap laptop for less than $300.

When it comes down to purchasing a cheap laptop, make sure that you consider purchasing from a major retailer.  This way, you know what you’re getting yourself into, and you’re not going to get ripped off.  Places like Craigslist, and others are a hotbed for scammers, so make sure that you watch what you’re doing before making a deal.
