Essay ideasWriting a college essay isn’t easy, and if you’re in the process of writing up an essay, or maybe you’re going to be writing one in the future, I wanted to point out a few websites that you should highly consider when you’re looking to get college essay examples.

The websites above should be able to help you find some great examples, as well as a topic.  The hardest part of an essay in my opinion is thinking about the topic itself.  Once you can nail down the topic, you will be good to go!

Try out the websites above, and let me know what you think.  If you have any that you’d like to add to the list, let me know!

If you were like me as a college student, and you were looking for ways to make extra cash a student, you probably searched, and searched, and couldn’t find anything but a part time job.  But, what if I told you could make a few hundred dollars online with a blog?  Sounds simple enough, right?

Think of your niche

The first thing that you want to do is think about your niche.  What you’ll want to do is create a blog.  I would strongly prefer WordPress.  If you’re unfamiliar with the platform, check out ProBlogger’s how to install wordpress post.  This will get you on the right path.

Host your site

Since you don’t want to host your site with WordPress servers, you will most likely want to get hosting.  Try hosts such as DotEasy.com.  They provide free hosting, website builders, as well as a blog, and forum platform making it extremely easy for you.  You can sign up with their free web hosting plan, and register a .COM/.NET/.ORG domain for only $4.95.  The coupon code for that deal is 0910FWH.  This is a steal when you compare it to other sites!

Generate content once a day

Try, and make it a habit to write at least 1 article a day relating to your niche.  It’s going to take a few months to start seeing visitors come to your blog, but trust me, it will pay off in the long haul.  The more people you have coming to your blog, the more you’ll essentially make.  You’ll want to track your users by using free services such as Google Analytics, or StatCounter.

Gain traffic, get ads

Once you start getting a few people a day, it’s now time to start generating revenue.  There are so many ways you can make money online.  You can make money by people clicking on ads, or you can make money by having people sign up for something through your affiliate links.  Looking into online programs such as Google Adsense, Commission Junction, FlexOffers, as well as others.  There are hundreds of programs out there that want to pay you!

Have patience

This is the key to the game.  As long as you have patience, and you promote your blog the right way, you can have people coming in droves to your website.  I know you’re not going to get all of the information in one blog post, but if you read into it, who knows?  Maybe you can turn this into a potential career!

Everyone doesn’t want to sit through 4 years of college to get a piece of a paper.  Who does, when you really think about it?  When you’re looking to speed up the process, I have a few, yet simple tips that you can absorb in order to finish in 2-3 years, rather than 4.

Test out of your classes: Instead of taking the basic English, and Math classes, have you ever thought about testing out of them?  If you haven’t, you should try!  Even if you don’t think you’ll be able to pass, there are amazing study tools out there, such as FinishCollegeFast that can help you with your CLEP.

What is CLEP?

CLEP is the college level examination program.  This program alone will enable you to take a text, and pass out of your classes.  It works great if you want to study hard, and pass all your basics.

Take more classes: Yes, I know, it sounds like hard work, but if you don’t work hard enough, you’re going to find that college is going to drag on.  Just by taking 2 classes a summer, this is going to knock away 6 classes.  This is enough to kill 2 semesters!  Sure, you’re going to have to sacrifice some summers, but you’ll be getting into the corporate world sooner than you think.

Take accelerated courses: Some colleges offer these, while others don’t.  These are classes that are basically cut in half.  So, instead of taking 16 weeks, or whatever it may be, you’ll only take 8 weeks.  Again, it’s going to be a lot crammed into these weeks, but as long as you study hard, and you’re prepared, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

Like anything in life, it’s not going to come easy.  If you find that you’re going to work hard, and have a goal in mind, you’re going to reach it relatively easy.

Getting a scholarship for womenScholarships are already hard to come by, and if you’re looking for a scholarship as a woman, I wanted to give you some pointers on how you can potentially find one.   As long as you work hard at finding one, I can almost promise you that you’ll win in the long run.

Start your search online: I love the Internet, because it’s jammed packed with information.  I highly recommend the website, FastWeb.  Here, you’ll be able to find exactly what you’re looking for, and as a woman, you will be able to pinpoint scholarships that are geared toward women like yourself.

Browse women groups: There are millions of groups out there, and since I don’t have the time to list them all, you’ll want to research on groups out there that have fundraisers to offer scholarships to people like yourself.  What you’ll want to do is search for a club, group, or whatever it may be, and see if they offer a scholarship.  Most of the times, they will have the information right on the website.

Purchase a scholarship guide: Yes, books still exist, and you’re not going to find everything on the Internet.  Head down to your local library, or if you want, consider purchasing a guide to scholarships at your local bookstore.   These books are jammed packed filled with information on where you can find scholarships.  It’s also great for women that are looking for a particular scholarship, as many books will categorize the scholarships by category, or by who’s eligible for it.

As you know, this is going to be a full time job to find the scholarship that you need for school.  But I can almost assure you that you can look back, and thank yourself for doing so, because it’s going to save you a whole lot of money on your future tuition bill!

College is expensive, I know that, but if you’re looking for methods on how to pay for college, there’s more than just one that’s going to get your bill paid.

Cash is always king

Of course, this is the obvious one, but did you know that you can work out a plan with some colleges if you’re going to pay up front in cash.  Some colleges will do this, while others won’t.  Try meeting with a financial advisor at the school, and discuss your options.

Apply for a student loan

Student loans is the path that many college students today take.  Just about anyone out there can get one, and as long as your credit isn’t shot, you’ll have a good chance at nabbing one.  Make sure that you know how to pick out a student loan before you apply for one though.  I recommend services such as Simple Tuition that helps you find a loan that fits your needs.

Look for your scholarship

A scholarship can be hard to find, but there’s one out there for everyone, I can promise you that much.  What you’ll want to do is treat this search like a job.  Use tools online such as FastWeb, as well as others.  Pick up books at the library, and apply until you feel like your hands are going to fall off.  This is one of the best ways to get money for your college courses.

Get a government grant

If you’re on a bind when it comes to paying your college courses, you may want to look into applying for a grant.  A government grant is basically a payment paid to you, so that you can attend college.  These grants don’t need to paid back, and you’ll be amazed at how many grants there are out there.

Try for financial aid

The last thing that you’ll want to look at is financial aid.  Now, if you can afford college, you probably won’t be eligible, but it never hurts to try to apply.  This again, is a government program that will assist you with your payments.  For more information, you’ll want to check out FAFSA.

These are really the most common ways to pay for your schooling.  Try each, and every step, and you shouldn’t have a problem at all paying for your tuition.
