If you’re currently going to college to make some money, that’s good for you but I wouldn’t solely go to school just for the money.  You may find that down the road you don’t like what you do and you may regret it.  Just think of this scenario for a second.  Would you rather work a job you hate that pays a lot?  or would you rather work a job you love but pays enough to get by?  I don’t know about you but I love what I do and I don’t even consider it work.  Life is too short to wake up 9-5 and work for the “man”.

There are so many jobs out there when it comes to a lot of pay.  They range everywhere from the medical field to technology.  It’s up to you to really find out what you would like to do.  I generally tell people to take a look at their hobbies and see how they can turn that into a job.

Here are a few ideas when it comes to the highest paying degree jobs:

  • Airline Pilots / Flight Engineers -  $150,000+ / year
  • Orthodontist - $150,000+ / year
  • Surgeon – $150,000+ / year
  • Dentist – $125,000+ / year
  • Computer and IT Managers – $105,000+ / year
  • Podiatrist – $105,000+ / year
  • Judge – $105,000+ / year
  • Lawyer – $100,000+ / year
  • Marketing Manager – $100,000+ / year
  • Pharmacist – $95,000+ / year
  • Astronomer – $95,000+ / year
  • Physicist – $90,000+ / year
  • Finance Manager – $90,000+ / year
  • Sales Manager – $90,000+ / year
  • Optometrist – $88,000+ / year
  • Human Resource Manager – $88,000+ / year
  • Mathematicians – $85,000+ / year
  • Computer Software Engineer – $84,000+ / year
  • Misc. Managers – $80,000+ / year
  • Public Relations – $75,000+ / year
  • Chemical Engineer – $75,000+ / year

This is just a sample and range of whats really out there.  You also have to keep in mind that these prices are going to vary when it comes to your local city and state.  New York City will probably pay more than the MidWest.  Do your homework with these careers when you look into them and never ever just go into it just for the money.  You may regret it in the long haul.

231473_photographers After high school, many students have plans to go to college.  If you’re at this time in your life, you may be wondering that you want to go to college for, and what you want to do for your career.  Choosing just one career is tough, because you want to make sure you enjoy what you’re doing until you retire.  if you’re having a difficult time finding what career is best for you, consider some of these tips listed below for finding the perfect career.

Personality – First, take a look at your personality.  Are you a caring person, an adventurous person, energetic person?  Everyone has a different personality, and that is what makes us all unique.  First time out what your personality type is like.

Hobbies – Also, take a look at your hobbies.  What do you like to do when you have spare time?  Do you like to help people out, be in a quiet setting like at the library, or do you like the louder settings?  Everyone has different hobbies, and enjoys doing different things.

Skills – What are you good at?  What kind of skills do you have?  And before you say you don’t have any, everyone does!  Are you a good reader, good at basketball, can play an instrument, good at math, what are you good at?  Reflect what you’re good at to what you could do for your future career.

Future – What could you see yourself doing far into the future?  What would you enjoy doing, and what would you find to get boring quick?  Find something that you could see yourself doing for years, without getting too bored of it.

Finding the right career is tough, because you’re going to dedicate so much of your time to it.  But if you figure out what your personality is like, what your hobbies are, what your skills are, and what you could see yourself doing in the future, you can get a better idea.  Also, simply ask your friends, and family what they think you’d be good at.

866529_feedback_form_excellent When in high school, you start to think about your future college career.  You need to make decisions on where you want to attend college, what you want to do for your career, and much more.  To start attending college, most colleges require their future students to take an SAT.  If you’re one of these students that needs to take their SAT, you may be a little worried since you’ve never taken one before.  SATs are important, and it is important that you do well to impress your future college administrators.  If you’re looking for study tips to make sure you perform well, continue reading below to find out how you can do so.

Books – If you’re looking for a lot of help, and some practice chances beforehand, check out an SAT book.  SAT books can be found at your nearest bookstore, and can be extremely helpful.
