Be short and sweet – In your biography, don’t write a whole life story.  Instead, write down some cliff notes, making the potential date wanting more.  Instead of writing 5,000 words, try and keep it to a maximum of 500 words.  Write down the main things such as your job, interests, and things going on in your life.  When you go on your first date, this is when you can spill all about yourself.

Keep it upbeat – Never ever be negative in your ad.  Instead of “You may think I’m fat..”, try and pick out the positives such as “I’m a happy person who enjoys the outdoors”.  No one in life likes a negative person.  Keep the negativity to yourself because no one wants to hear your complaining.

NEVER lie – If your goal is to find someone, you’re going to have to meet that person face to face someday.  This means that you shouldn’t lie on your profile because it’s all going to come around and bite you in the butt sooner or later.  This means if you’re 50, don’t put I’m 35.  Also, try and have a picture that’s up to date.  No one wants a picture that’s 5 years old.  Don’t be afraid to be honest!

The main rule when creating a dating website is to be short, simple, sweet, and honest.  If you can follow these golden rules, creating the perfect profile won’t be hard at all.  Keep your head up and you’ll be able to find the perfect somebody!
