  • Create a reasonable schedule.  Don’t overwhelm yourself by taking more than 3 or 4 classes per semester.
  • Limit yourself to working about 20 hours a week at your job.
  • Make sure you always have a positive attitude.
  • Take time for yourself.  Make time for the things you enjoy doing, relaxation, and friends.
  • Study hard, and do a little bit each day to avoid having too large of a load for homework.
  • Take good notes and be organized with each class to make studying easier, and better grades more possible.
  • Get an agenda.  Agendas will keep you organized for school, appointments, your work schedule and more.
  • Get the help you need.  If you need extra help for a class, don’t be afraid to get it and get a tutor.  Make sure you master the class the first time around to avoid having to take it again.
  • Limit your spending on leisure and other things and try to save as much as possible for the future.  We often get caught up in partying, and spending money quickly, so try to save here and there.
  • Make sure you get enough sleep.  Sleep is important for concentration, is needed to get good grades, and helps us focus more in class.
