Bean bag chairsIf you haven’t been to college yet, or even you have, you have probably noticed a ton of people using bean bag chairs as furniture.  It’s not only a cheap way to furnish your room, it’s a great way to stay comfortable.  If you’re moving to a dorm room this upcoming fall, you may want to set aside $30-$50 and purchase one.  Below, are a few that you should check out if you’re interested.

Matte Round Bean Bag: This bean bag run in two sizes, both large and small.  Not only can you choose from size, you can also choose from colors.  For under $35, this is the best rate bean bag on Amazon.

When we all graduated high school we were thrilled because we could now create our own schedule, and because that meant we didn’t have to get up early anymore.  Although some of us don’t mind getting up early, some of us hate even thinking about getting up early.  If you are thinking about taking an early college class because that’s all that’s available, there are both pros and cons to it.  See which one out ways the other one more.

Taking early college classes:

PROS –

  • You can get an early start to your day, and it seems much longer which is always a good thing.
  • We usually feel much more energized when we wake up early instead of sleeping for way too long.
  • We can get the worst part of the day done right from the start.
  • We don’t have to sit around and wait for our class, instead we can wake up, go and it’s done.  Then we have the rest of the day to do what we please.
  • We will have more time to do things like work on homework, and other things we need to get done.

CONS –

  • We have to go to bed earlier the night before.
  • We have to get up earlier than we usually want to.
  • It may be harder to concentrate if we’re too tired.

When talking about this, we realize there are a lot more pros than cons, but it all depends on which ones mean more and matter to us.  If you can’t stand getting up early and going to bed early, you most likely should stick to later classes, but if you don’t mind getting up early, and just want to get your day going so you have more time to do stuff, stick with the earlier classes.

Everyone is different, and has different lifestyles.  Although, if you’re debating on whether or not to take early classes, figure out which one means more by considering the ideas above.

When in college, we want to make sure we get the best grades we can.  College definitely isn’t cheap, so we need to make sure we pass our classes the first time around.  There are a lot of papers that need to be handed in, and not everyone is a fan of writing papers especially if you have more than one to do at a time.  Sometimes since college students are so busy with what’s going on in their everyday lives they will think about plagiarizing just so they can get a good grade, and get it done with as soon as possible.  Although, many college students don’t realize how severe it is to plagiarize in college.

If you’re a college freshman, or if you’ve just never heard about how bad it is to plagiarize in college, continue to read below to see what may happen to you if you do it!

Kicked out – It all depends on your college, but if you plagiarize you may even get kicked out of the entire college, if not the class.  Colleges take plagiarizing very seriously, and won’t except it from anyone.

Fail – Once again, this will depend on your college and professor but you’ll either get an automatic F on the assignment, or you’ll fail the class entirely, and won’t be allow to come back until the next semester.

Suspended – A lot of college students get suspended from the college, and aren’t allowed to step foot on the campus for a certain amount of days.  Getting suspended is an awful thing because you may miss out on a lot of things like tests, lectures, etc.

Label – Also, when you plagiarize, you will receive the “label” from your professor.  This means when you sign up for any other class, they will usually pass on that you’ve been known to plagiarize.  Therefore, your next professors may be harder on you, and double check for any plagiarizing.

It is never a good thing to plagiarize, we’ve learned this since elementary school, but to plagiarize in college is even worse.  Colleges expect you to be professional, and ready to work hard for your future degree.   So, if you’re thinking about plagiarizing, think twice!

950754_old_clock_Ugh, we all hate to get out of bed early, especially if it’s for something we don’t want to go to, like college or work.  Unfortunately not every class is scheduled for the perfect time, which I’m sure you’ve already noticed.  Some classes in college are only scheduled for early in the morning.

When classes are scheduled for early in the morning it is so tempting to just “go back to sleep for a few more minutes.”  Although, what happens when we do this is we never wake back up in time!  If you’re someone that struggles with getting up early, continue to read below to find out how you can make it easier.

Split second – When your alarm goes off, get up the split second it goes off.  You never want to just lay there and think about getting up.  If you do, you’ll find that you’re too comfortable and you probably will fall back asleep.  So, get up ASAP!

Far away – Try to set your alarm clock farther away from your bed.  If you can do this, you will have to get out of bed and go get it.  Once you do that, you’ll realize that you’re already up, and you might as well stay up.

Radio – If you can, try to set your alarm clock with the radio playing.  That annoying “eeee” “eeee” gets old, and we often just smack it to stop.  If you can wake up to a good song you’ll wake up much happier.

Double set it – A lot of college students are using their cell phones to wake them up in the morning.  Try to double set your alarm.  This means set it for the time you want to wake up, and then another one for 5 minutes later.  That way if you do happen to doze off on accident, you can at least wake up from the second one.

Go to bed earlier – It’s a common thing, teenagers and college students go to bed late!  Try to go to bed a few hours earlier or at least plan on getting 7-8 hours of sleep a night minimum.  If you go to bed earlier, you can wake up with more energy.

Sleep is a thing that college students need to function.  Otherwise we feel miserable, worn out, and we can’t focus in class.  So, make sure you start going to bed earlier, and really consider these tips listed above.  If you can get into a good habit, waking up early each morning will just become a routine!

Apple laptops for college studentsEvery year, Apple’s share in the laptop marketplace grows larger, and larger.  It’s no wonder why Microsoft should be shaking in their boots.   Apple offers a great product, and if you’re a college student looking for a new laptop, you may want to consider an Apple laptop, if you have the cash to do so.

With over a hundred different models available, it’s hard to choose the right one for your own personal needs.  I checked out a few shopping review based websites, and came up with what I thought are the top three laptops on the market today.

Apple MacBook MB466LL/A 13.3 Inch Laptop

This lightweight, and reasonably priced laptop comes with a lot of great configurations, that makes it well worth the money.   The MacBook MB466LL/A comes equipped with a 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 2 GB RAM, a 160 GB Hard Drive, along with the Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Operating system.  If that’s not enough, you’ll get a very nice, and slick 13.3 inc h LED back lit glass display.

Apple MacBook MB467LL/A 13.3 Inch Laptop

This MacBook is very similar to the one I just mentioned above, but received just as good of reviews as well.  This laptop in particular comes with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 250 GB hard drive as well as a 13.3-inch LED back lit glass display.  This laptop is going to run anywhere from $1,000 – $1,300.

MacBook Pro MB990LL/A 13.3 Inch Laptop

This Apple pro version laptop features a 2.26 GHz core 2 duo processor, 2 GB DDR3 RAM, a 160 GB hard drive, as well as the Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard operating system.  The pro version is usually going to cost you a little more than the non-pro version, but this one in particular can be picked up for less than $1,200.
